Cheryl was born in New London, CT on December 15, 1955 to the late John and Florence (Richards) Campbell. She earned her Master’s Degree from UCONN and worked as a Clinical Social Worker in several venues including Reliance Health and for the State of Connecticut at Southeast Area Mental Health Authority on the Uncas on The Thames Campus in Norwich until her retirement.
When Cheryl wasn’t working she had many hobbies to occupy her time after her children were raised and moved out. She was nicknamed “The Queen of Crafts” and showed her masterful abilities to make or build anything she set her mind to with exacting detail. She truly enjoyed life, her passion for helping others through her career, her family and her crafts.
In 1996 she married Alan D. Baker at Amos Lake in Preston, CT. He survives her. She is also survived by her children; Ryan Baker and his girlfriend Sara Schultz, Corrin O’Neil, Amanda Cholewa and her husband Justin, sisters; Kelly Johnson, Wendy Campbell and Charlene Formica, grandchildren; Kyleigh, Isabella, Gabriella, Logan, Cole, Jacob, several nieces and nephews and her lovable pooch, “Cali”.
