Clayton Robert Jones

Norwich- Clayton Robert Jones, 78, of Nordon Avenue, passed away April 19, 2021 at the William W. Backus Hospital.

Clayton was born April 28, 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of the late William and Evelyn (Bills) Jones.

He married Harriet Gilman-Perugi August 20, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and retired as an electrical engineer for US Silica and US Borax Co.

He was a very devoted husband and loved his family. He is survived by his sons Gary and Scott Jones, daughter Jody Fowler, by his brother David Jones and by his grandchildren Bobby, Leslie, Sarah, Brittany, Ricky, Rudy, David, Angel, Samantha, Lexie, Kendra, Gavin, Cayleigh, Austin, by many great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Debbie Formby, and by his sister Janet.

Calling hours will be held at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave. in Norwich on 4/25 Sunday evening from 5 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Fort Shantok Burial Ground on Monday 4/26 at 11am.

we are so sorry for your loss. I will forever treasure the breakfast time (when I came home to visit) I shared with you both . And all the Santa & Mrs. Claus memories. We Love you very much and are here if you need us I will see you soon

My favorite memory was One day my gramp took my daughters to the park and me and gram sat at the table playing cards it started raining and my gram looked out and said it’s raining I don’t think they are still at the park so I got up looked outside and said no gram they are in the driveway eating ice cream so they walked thru the door and my gram starting yelling at him and he grabbed her shoulder and said calm down hunny I’ll take you for ice cream later and you can upgrade From a cone and get a sundae.
