

He was born on June 18, 1959 in Cambridge, MA to the late Edward and Shirley (Scott) Conroy. Cliff was a Teamster for several years and a friend of Bill celebrating 28 years sobriety. He worked as a caregiver of the mentally disabled for the State of CT for many years until his illness.
Cliff was proud of his Irish Bostonian roots making him a devout Roman Catholic, Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a self-taught historian who loved to consume books. He will be remembered as being a strong yet gentle, generous man, loving father, grandfather and friend to many.
He is survived by his children; Nathaniel Conroy, Ian Conroy, Patrick Collins, Sarah Conroy, and Amanda Collins-Benoit, brother; Michael Conroy, sisters; Cynthia Conroy and Carol Conroy and her husband T.J. DeJesus, four grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 17 Squire St., New London on Friday Sept. 18th at 10:30am meeting directly at the church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 815 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT. Calling hours will be held the night before from 4pm to 7pm at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT.
