Daniel James Purwinis

Daniel grew up in Preston and was a 2003 graduate of Ledyard High School. He went on to earn his Associates degree in Automotive Technology from New England Institute of Technology and furthered his training at Universal Technical Institute Audi Academy in Eaton, Pennsylvania.

Daniel was a highly skilled technician and worked at Audi dealerships in Connecticut and Rhode Island. He also worked for several years with his good friend, Mark Tudisca, at Laurel Hill Automotive. Most recently, Daniel was employed by Electric Boat in Groton as an Outside Machinist Instructor.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Thomas and Dawn Purwinis of Preston; his sister, Alison Purwinis and her partner, Javier Nuñez of Providence, Rhode Island; and grandfather, Stanley Purwinis of Gales Ferry.

Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Daniel, knew him as a kind and loyal friend. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

Calling hours will be held from 5-8pm, Tuesday December 21, 2021 at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave, Norwich. Masks are required.
