Dann H. Hubbard

Dann was a lifelong resident of Norwich and was beloved by his family and friends for his outgoing and fun-loving nature. Dann loved being active and spending time outdoors; he would be the first to start a new trail up a mountain or discover a hidden stream. Dann was a gentle giant, holding a special place in his heart for children and animals. All who knew Dann knew he cared about people, he would always be the first person to offer help to anyone in need. Dann was always trying to make people happy, cheering them on, and making them laugh. Dann spent many years employed by Caring Community as a caregiver to the disabled and loved being able to do what he did best, care for others. An all-around great guy, who loved deeply, Dann will be missed by all.

More than anything, Dann loved his children. He leaves behind his three children, Ashley Nicholas, Dann Hubbard, and Jamie Hubbard, his three “step children,” Elaina Palma, Joseph Palma and Eric Daley and his loving partner Cynthia Palma. Dann also leaves behind, his mother, Coleen Hubbard, his brothers Jason Hubbard and Joshua Hubbard, his Aunt Cindy Bourbeau Billici, and Aunt/God Mother, Susan Fleck Pennington, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and his adored dogs, Princess and Peach.

Dann was predeceased by his dad, James Thomas (Tom) Hubbard, Sr. (2007), his brother, James Thomas (Tommy) Hubbard, Jr. (2015), two uncles, Austin Flint Hubbard (1984) and Dan Pennington (2015).

A celebration of life will be held at Dann’s favorite place growing up, Norwich Bowling and Entertainment Center, on October 23, 2021, from 1-4 PM.
