David James Barnes Sr.

August 18, 1995January 26, 2020

On January 26th, 2020 our beloved David left this world and it got a little less cool. David passed away in the peace of his home with his family and cherished pets. He was a bad-ass skateboarder and the kindest soul to touch our lives. He was born special to his adoring parents- Donald and Lisa Barnes, his best friend and brother Donald Barnes Jr., his sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Daniel Czikowsky. David’s proudest role was being an uncle to his nephews Todd Robbins, Owen Robbins, and Zander Czikowsky, who were the motivation for positivity in his life. He was predeceased by his grandfather Ronald Barnes Sr., closest four-legged friend Flash and many others that were there greeting him. He is survived by a never-ending list of loving family and friends. David was a loyal employee of F & F Distributors. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 493. We are celebrating David’s life on Friday, January 31st with calling hours at Church & Allen located at 53 Norwich-New London Turnpike, Montville from 2 to 4 pm and concluding at the Polish Club 85 Maple Ave., Montville from 4 -7 pm, where he was a member and employee.

Donald ,Lisa , Jr and Liz we have shared so many years together. Simo and I have watched David grow from the cutest little kid to such a handsome young man. He always called and ordered his large garlic bread with cheese... “Hi Oakdale pizza..Lg garlic bread and cheese “David is this you darling ?” Yes it is Ms Annie “ ok see you in a few... Hi David ...sometimes I got a hug sometimes just how are you Ms Annie “ me ...hey how's momma-and dad ? ..”there ok you know just great “. David, always sweet and genuinely respectful, great manners , and always a smile.. our hearts are with you... all our love to you

That sweet face with that quick smile, he left us too soon, we need many more like him. It would make the world a better place. David was not just a nice human being, but a beautiful gift to his family and the world. He is already missed and I will always remember that smile. Love to you all and God bless. Charlie
