Ausma Irmaline Dawn Riepins Lamb DeVeau "DeeDee", 85, beloved Wife of Walter DeVeau went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 31, 2024.  Ausma was born in Kandava, Latvia to parents Arturs and Veronika(Vjakse) Riepins, during World War II, then immigrating to Mannheim Germany, and Connecticut where she continued to grow up.  She graduated from Hartford Public High School and attended Hartford Art School.  DeeDee was talented in art(and won awards in her youth) and she enjoyed playing the piano, listening to piano and instrumental music.  She loved nature and liked taking walks in the park and by the ocean in CT and RI.  Besides being predeceased by her parents, she was also predeceased by her former husband, Douglas Lamb of Oklahoma City, OK.  DeeDee lived for many years in Connecticut.  Survivors include her husband, Walter DeVeau, Son David Ernest Lamb, and GrandDaughter Evelyn Lamb; also her Sister, Sandra Rasma Riepins Taumanis, her dear friend Judy Post and her kittens Jasmine and Mandy.  Services are to be private and a memorial service will be held at Norwich Town Rehab; Norwich, CT on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:00pm.
