

Wilemsyk- Dianne Marie Wilemsyk passed away March 22, 2015, after a prolonged illness. She was born on October 27, 1952, to Chester and Germaine (Rozanski) Wilemsyk. Dianne was a lifelong resident of Clairmont Ave., in Norwich Ct., and graduated from both NFA and Eastern Connecticut State University. Her professional career involved preparing and serving meals to residents of Hamilton Pavilion. She was predeceased by her parents, and her lifelong friend, Sue Lazur. She is survived by an uncle, Jerry Schena, several cousins, Judy Boligan, George Kaminski, William Kaminski, Phillip Schena, Michael Schena, Catherine Cappellieri, and Larry Delesio, and by her very close friends, Barbara James, Dot Wilinski, Kirstyn Lazur, and Liisa Kaminski. Dianne loved the arts including dance and the opera. She had a passion for history and film, especially British movies and actors. Downton Abbey was her most recent favorite. She enjoyed traveling at home and abroad, especially trips to New York City. She enjoyed polka music and like her father, she followed the Red Sox. Her family appreciates the excellent care and support she received as a recent resident of the Pendleton Rehab Center. There will be calling hours at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Avenue., Norwich Ct on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6:00-7:30 pm., and a Memorial Service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 78 Washington Street., Norwich Ct. at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Donations in her memory may be made to the Pendleton Rehab Center Recreation Program, 44 Maritime Drive, Mystic Ct. 06355, and the NFA Foundation, Inc., 321 Broadway, Norwich Ct 06360 to support the Fine and Performing Arts.
