Norwich-Donald Durand (Pop), age 62, of Norwich, passed away at his home on July 29, 2017. He was born in Pawtucket, RI on May 11, 1955 to the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Durand. He married Kathryn (Suplicki) Durand on September 11, 1992 in Bucksport, ME.
Pop described himself as a “history buff, father, husband, wild poodle wrangler, and reader of things called books.” He enjoyed his coffee and model building. Besides his loving wife he is survived by a son Zachary Doty of Niantic, a daughter Emily Doty of Norwich and a daughter Hayley Durand and her fiancé Tim Cook of Norwich. He also leaves behind his dogs, Harry Palmer , Sophie, Arlo and Vader.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Cathedral, 210 Broadway, Norwich on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
