Donna Fallon

Born September 8, 1955, to Richard and Dolores Wilkinson, Donna grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from Chariho High School. The youngest of four sisters, she treasured memories of her childhood and time spent on the family dairy farm.

Donna was a true free spirit — rebellious, creative, fun-loving, and never afraid to do things her own way. She lived fiercely, laughed often, loved deeply, and had a remarkable gift for turning friends into family. She carried a deep faith and a special love for Jesus.

Donna found great joy in feeding the people she loved and bringing family together. One of her most treasured traditions was her annual Cookie Day, which began as a lively gathering of friends and grew into a beloved family tradition of baking, exchanging favorite cookies, and simply being together. Like so many things in Donna’s life, it was never really about the cookies — it was about the people around the table.

She was happiest in her flower gardens, especially among her beloved dahlias. Her flowers became something of a signature, much like Donna herself — colorful, bold, and impossible to overlook.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Mark Fallon; her children, Justin Gourlay and Jillian Lake; and Mark’s children, Denise and Matt Fallon, whom she loved as her own. If anyone was born to be a grandmother, it was Donna. She treasured her grandchildren: Cora Lake, Grahm Lake, Tucker Gourlay, Connor Gourlay, Tessa Gourlay, Gabriel, Beckett, and Noa, along with the grandchildren of her heart, Violet, Makenna, and Madison.

She will also be deeply missed by her sister Janet and by the many relatives, friends, and chosen family who were part of her life. The family extends a special thank you to Johnna-Beth Tanner, Chuck Gabriele, and Ginny Kalisz, dear friends who became caregivers and helped surround Donna with love and comfort in her final days.

For Donna, family was never defined by biology — if she loved you, you belonged.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy and Cheryl, whom the family also remembers and celebrates.

Donna lived fiercely and loved even harder, all while refusing to be ordinary.

Her family asks for prayers for Mark and for all those who loved Donna so deeply.
