She was born in Willimantic on July 24, 1937 to the late Fred and Ellen (Potter) King. On June 3, 1971 she married Malcolm I Penn in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked with her husband for years as his office manager in his CPA business.
Doris lived a simple life and enjoyed the company and love of her family.
Besides her husband Malcolm, she is also survived by her daughters; Robin Dixon (Lawrence), and Michelle Satryb, sister; Mildred Chamberlin (Wallace), grandchildren; Shane Dixon (Cheryl), and Teryl Costantini (Angelo) two great grandchildren; Shane Dixon II, and Rhiannon Dixon, and a special niece, Linda Cain. She was predeceased by her sisters; Viola DeCarli (Robert), and Evelyn King.
At Doris’ request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
