wife Margaret and his daughter Deanne on Thursday June 12, 2025 after a brief battle with
cancer. Ed was born on January 29,1947 in Norwich CT, son of the late Daniel and Ann
(Wisniewski) Renaldi. Ed was raised in Norwich, later moving to Montville, eventually retiring to
Florida for the last seventeen years. Ed was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy class of
1965. After graduating high school he was employed by Pratt and Whitney before serving in the
Army for two years. Upon honorable discharge Ed returned to Pratt and Whitney until joining the
State of Connecticut Department of Transportation in 1969. He retired from the State after over
thirty years as an electrician. On August 30,1969 Ed married Margaret Scolaro to whom he was
married for thirty years until her passing in 2000. Ed enjoyed fishing at Gardner’s Lake, hunting,
watching sports, and clamming trips with his two special friends from work. In his retirement he
enjoyed living in Florida with frequent trips to the pool and the casino and trips to Disney with his
son Todd.
Ed is survived by his son Todd Renaldi and his wife Karen (Horan) of Amston, his
granddaughter Emma Renaldi of Amston, his Aunt Marie Renaldi of Hamden, numerous
cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, wife and daughter Ed was predeceased by his in-laws Joseph and
Marguerite Scolaro, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 825 Brook Street,
Rocky Hill CT 06067. As per Ed's request all funeral services will be private.
