Eleanor Mae Lufkin

Eleanor Mae Lufkin passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 17, 2026 at the age of 92. She was born in Stonington Maine on February 06, 1934, daughter of Doris and Newell Hutchinson. Ellie grew up in Stonington Maine later moving to Connecticut with her Late husband Gene Lufkin.

Over the years, she built a life centered on family, faith and work.

Ellie was known for her unconditional love for her family and friends. Her sense of humor never failed to make us smile and keep us laughing. She found joy in spending time with her loved ones including her dogs. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.

Ellie leaves behind a daughter, Connie Cirrito and her husband Joseph Cirrito Jr.), a son Ronald Lufkin and his wife Peggy Lufkin, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren one of which being predeceased, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Ellie was preceded in death by her husband Gene Lufkin, her son Dennis Bray, and her two brothers Carson and Myron Hutchinson.

Family and friends are invited to gather for her graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery Norwich, Ct on Tuesday September 22, 2026 at 11am. Ellie's legacy and memory will forever continue in the lives of all who loved her.
