Windham-Elizabeth A. Smith, 90, passed away at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich on February 7, 2015. She was born in Oswago, NY on June 21, 1924 to the late Zelmer and Olive (Smith) Gilbert. She married the late Ralph R. Smith on February 14, 1944.
Elizabeth worked as an IBM programmer at Norwich Hospital. She was a past president of the VFW.
She is survived by a daughter Linda Morin and her husband Dennis of Windham, grandchildren Robert Hilton, Kristin Rightler, Jeremy Morin and Brittany Smith as well as great grandchildren Elizabeth Rightler, Megan Hilton and Madeline Hilton. She is predeceased by children Dianna Hilton and Richard Smith as well as siblings Calla Walker, Dorothy Williams, Rex Gilbert and Sid Gilbert
