Florence L. Lewis passed away peacefully at her daughter and son -in-laws house after a long illness. She was born in Hartford Ct. She leaves the love of her life Nathaniel Lewis. Florence had 9 children, Sherene, Rose, Lisa, Laurie, Gerald, James, Jeffrey, Janice, and Janet. Florence had 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and her crazy cat called Baby. Florence worked at Capehart in Greenville for a short time. The rest of her life she devoted her time as a homemaker. Her favorite pastime was going yard saleing. She was predeceased by 6 siblings; sisters, Josephine, and Ruth, and brothers Gerald, Paul, Harold, and Ernest Ambeau. Florence lived life to the fullest, her greatest joy was her family and friends .Visitation will be Wednesday August 13, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Church and Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem St. Norwich. Funeral Service will be Thursday Aug. 14, 2014 10:00 a.m at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery Norwich.
