

Helen (Wierzbinski) Parker Sept. 2, 1920 - Jan. 23, 2015 WINDHAM - Helen (Wierzbinski) Parker, age 94, of Windham, passed away on January 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. She was born on September 2, 1920 in Norwich to the late Joseph and Ursula (Schneider) Wierzbinski. She last resided at Chase Manor II in Norwich.
She worked as a food service worker for the State of Connecticut. Helen was predeceased by her husband of many years Charles P. Parker. She is survived by a daughter Mary Beth Schindler and her husband Andrew of Niantic, grandchildren Amy Roberts and Maggie Bohlman, and great grandchildren Max Roberts, Oscar Roberts, Lola Roberts and Charlie Bohlman. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews Frank Porucznik, Ann Ciliano, Rosalie Snare, Elaine Heeren, Jean Parker, Irene Buckley, John Homiski, James Homiski, Dr. Steven Wierzbinski, William Wierzbinski, Theodore Wierzbinski, Dr. Joseph Wierzbinski, Patricia Novak, Thomas Mahoney, and Kathy Latour all of whom were like dear children to her.
Special thanks to Harold and Kathy Latour for their generous attention at the end of her life. A particularly close survivor in the family is mom's beloved brother in law Harold Mahony of Chase Manor II, who is now 101 years old. Along with her sister Alice, they often prayed together and had a rich spiritual life.
A special note was written to her by her 7 year old great granddaughter, Lola "to the most beloved gradma ever from Lola the favret girl. Dear Grama Hellin, I miss and love you sooooo much.
