James Adam Sawyer

James Adam Sawyer, 67, of Norwich, beloved husband of 34 years to Sherry (Rivers) Sawyer, passed away on January 25th at The William W. Backus Hospital. James was born to the late George and Agnus Sawyer on August 3rd, 1948. He graduated from the Norwich Technical High School, and shortly after enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children: James Donahue and wife Elise, Melissa Fox, Brandy Donahue and husband Abdou, Valerie Sawyer, Jamy Jennings, Jesse Sawyer and the late Justin Sawyer. He also leaves behind his brother George Sawyer, his 8 grandchildren, "adopted" son Amaury Castillo, as well as nephews and nieces. James was loved by all and will be missed tremendously.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 30th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Labenski Funeral Home on 107 Boswell Avenue, Norwich, CT 06360.
