Jennie C. Blazejak

Blazejak- Jennie Chrtistine Blazejak, 89 of Norwich, died peacefully April 21, 2015 at her home. She was the widow of Joseph C. Blazejak. Jennie was a communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul Church Norwich. She was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for the Norwich Board of Education until her retirement. One of her favorite past times was knitting, the desire to try new and different projects kept her family and friends in sweaters, slippers and hats. She will be remembered as a caring woman who was always concerned about what she could do to help her family and friends. She had many cherished memories of traveling with her husband, and the vacations at Groton Long Point. Everybody that knew her loved her and even acquaintances the family didn’t know would say how awesome she was. She also worked for the school lunch system for many years and still cherished her monthly secretary luncheon with all her friends. She is survived by her son Mark Blazejak, a granddaughter Melissa Blazejak, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by 2 sons, Peter Blazejak, and Joseph C. Blazejak Jr. and 5 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Sunday April 26, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Labenski Funeral Home 107 Boswell Avenue Norwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 27, 2015 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church 181 Elizabeth St. Norwich. Burial will be at a later date.
