He is survived by his sister Ginny, his son James and wife Lynette, daughter Donna and husband John, son Joseph and wife Heidi.
His 7 Grandchildren - Ashley, Andrew, Elizabeth, Hannah, Magen, Evan, and Zach, and 15 Great Grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy of 58 years, brothers Harold and Bob, and sister Ellen.
John was a graduate from Norwich Tech, he served in the United States Marine Corps.
He retired from Electric Boat after 39 years, as a Area Manager in the Pipe Shop.
John had been retired for 27 years and enjoyed his life golfing, fishing, hunting with his sons and grandsons. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A visitation for “Jack” will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Church & Allen Funeral Service, 136 Sachem St, Norwich, Connecticut 06360, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
