John was born on April 16, 1964, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Robert Ososkie and the late Theresa "Angel" Ososkie.
John was an accomplished civil engineer who graduated from Michigan State University. He was employed as a Project Manager at Jacobs Engineering, where he found great fulfillment in his work.
John proudly served his country for four years as a Lieutenant in the United States Army.
When he wasn't working, John loved fishing and boating on the ocean and at Rogers Lake near his home. He and his beloved wife, Evelyn, shared a passion for traveling and created many cherished memories together. Every summer, he took great pride in planting and tending his vegetable garden. He also loved cooking and was always creating new recipes to share with family and friends.
Above all, John treasured time with his family. He delighted in teaching his grandchildren about life, nature, and the many things that interested him. His faithful dogs, Angel and Jenny, were constant companions, providing comfort throughout his chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants. Through every challenge, John remained positive, courageous, and hopeful. His strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit were an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
John is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Ososkie; his father, Robert Ososkie; his sisters, Julianne Ososkie and Mary Schmidt; his brother-in-law, Richard Hoge; his daughters, Elizabeth Ososkie, Mindy Romero, Katy Reubelt, and Jennifer Melgey; his seven beloved grandchildren, Lily, Ryder, Aiden, Pepper, Bodhi, Sebastian, and Sunny; his mother-in-law, Bunny Rossoll; his sister-in-law, Nancy Girardin; and his nieces and nephews, Theresa Murgola, Andrew Murgola, Emily Schmidt, Melissa Girardin, and Melanie Girardin.
