He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 24, 1955 to George and Carmela (Lucenti) Schmitt Sr. He graduated from high school and served his country in the US Army – Infantry, until his Honorable Discharge.
John loved life and lived it to the fullest. Any time he could spend with family and friends was a good time. His laugh, his humor and his compassion towards others will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kimberly (Malatesta) who put the sparkle in his eye, his sons; John, Michael and Eric, daughters; Crystal and Ashley, grandchildren; Noah, Alexia, and Jade – his most recent causes for joy, his former wife Lynn Kennedy, and his closest friend; Sherman Bowens.
At John’s request, there will be no calling hours for funeral service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Labenski Funeral Home is assisting this family with arrangements.
