A devoted husband, father, and skilled union carpenter, Joseph was a man who built more than things with his hands. He built a life of quiet strength, loyalty, and love.
He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially a good lobster dinner and time spent with family.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Kurasz; his sons, Joseph and Allan Kurasz; daughter, Donna Jo Kurasz Mathews, grandson Allan Kurasz, sister Marie Cheney and nephews, uncles and cousins.
He may not have said much, but he was always there when it mattered most.
His love was not measured in words, but in the countless ways he showed up for those he loved. And that love will remain long after his passing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. Joseph Church, 120 Cliff St., Norwich, CT, on November 13, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will take place following the mass at ST. Joseph Cemetery, 815 Boswell Ave, Norwich, CT.
