Kelly J. Bushey

Kelly spent much of her life in eastern Connecticut. She lived for many years with her longtime partner, Brian Trudelle, in the Danielson area before relocating to Norwich and Groton, eventually returning to Norwich, where she made her home. She worked various jobs throughout her life before becoming disabled.

Kelly found joy in the simple things that brought her peace and happiness. She dearly loved her two dogs, Molly and Sassy, who were faithful companions. She cherished spending time at the beach, especially at Bluff Point, where she enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and clamming. She also created treasured memories taking her eldest son fishing at Mohegan Park. Kelly enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casinos to play the slot machines. She had a true passion for gardening, and while living in Groton, her yard flourished with beautiful flowers and thriving vegetable gardens.

Above all else, Kelly's greatest pride was her family. She loved her children deeply and found immense joy in her grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life.

Kelly was predeceased by many beloved family members.

She is lovingly remembered by her eldest son, Raymond Bushey; his wife, Katie; and their children, Braelyn, Bellamy, Lilah, Jaeden and Nancy. She is also survived by her son, William Normandin; his fiancée, Kayla; and their children, Ezra and Storm. She leaves behind her longtime partner, Brian Trudelle, and his children, Tabitha, Craig, and Ryan. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Labbe, and her husband, Joe; her brother, George Bushey, and his wife, Priscilla; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Kelly will be remembered for her love of nature, her beautiful gardens, her devotion to her family, and the many memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 156 Providence Street, Taftville, Connecticut.
