Lorraine Ellen Bargnesi Kornilieff

Norwich- Lorraine Ellen Kornilieff, age 83, of Norwich, passed away at her home on March 12, 2015. She was born in Norwich on February 6, 1932 to the late Ralph and Victoria (Wlodyka) Bargnesi. She married the late Leon Kornilieff on May 24, 1952 at St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich.

Lorraine worked as a secretary for the Norwich school system for over 30 years. She enjoyed shopping and square dancing. She was always there for anyone that needed her.

She is survived by a son Lee Kornilieff of Norwich, a daughter Gail Wawrzynowicz of Norwich and her boyfriend Scott McArthur of Ledyard, a daughter Lisa Perrone and her husband David of Noank and a sister Delores Bohara of Norwich. She also leaves behind grandchildren Shawn and Bryan Wawrzynowicz, Lauren Startz and her husband Greg, and Victoria and Marisa Perrone as well as great grandchildren Maxim and Camden Startz and several nephews.

Mom, grammy and great grammy, you will be dearly missed by us all – Rest in Peace.

Family and friends may visit Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown.
