

She was born on September 7, 1923 in Norwich, CT to the late Ernest and Emma P (Gladue) Duhaime. After graduating from N.F.A. she attended the William W. Backus Hospital School of Nursing earning her R.N. certification. She would go on to work for Backus Hospital for over 40 years particularly enjoying her position in the maternity unit. Louise held many a “new year’s baby” for photos in local newspapers over the years.
Louise married her beloved husband Thomas I. Seddon in Norwich in 1946. Together they made their family while maintaining their careers. Thomas predeceased her in 1980.
Louise and Thomas were truly a couple in love holding hands, enjoying ballroom dancing together and camping and boating with their children. Louise was a proud graduate of NFA including being a Nu Sigma Gamma sorority member. She would play guitar and sing, loved to water ski, boat, and be outdoors, particularly at the beach every chance she had.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses; Cheryl & Mel Napa, Cindy & Rich Longhini, Deborah Seddon, Thomas & Eileen Seddon along with grandchildren; Jason Przekop, Dara & Derek Longhini, Dane Seddon, Shaina Morales, Bailey & Chloe Seddon, great-grandchildren; Slater, Sophia and Vivienne Przekop and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Louise was predeceased by one brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 9am-11am at the Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society.
