She was born in Paris, France on November 21, 1928 to the late Lucien and Marie (Parmentier) Crussaire. She was married to Joseph L. Gagnon in Paris on May 8, 1948, subsequently moved to the United States, and later became a citizen. Her husband is currently a resident of Fairview Nursing Home in Groton.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Gerard J. Gagnon and his wife Pamela of Norwich, a sister Andrée Crussaire of Groton, two grandchildren Jessica Gagnon of Willimantic and Elizabeth Gagnon of Norwich. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem Street, Norwich on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 70 Central Ave, Norwich on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fairview Nursing Home, 235 Lestertown Road, Groton, CT 06340.
