Mrs. Marguerite Vera Rhodes Hilt

She was born in Johnsburgh, NY on January 11, 1929 to the late LeRoy and Gretchen M. (West) Rhodes.

In 1956, Marguerite married her beloved husband Roy Hilt in Corinth, NY. He predeceased her in 2007. She worked tirelessly to make her house a loving home for her husband and children. She was the epitome of a loving wife and mother and lived her life for her family. Marguerite also loved to play bingo and watch her soaps whenever she had the chance.

Marguerite is survived by her sons; Al Hilt of Uncasville, Richard Hilt and his wife Cathy of Niantic, Kenneth Hilt and his wife Debbie of Westerly, RI, a daughter; Lisa Marie Russell and her husband Timothy of Uncasville, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 2pm-4pm at the Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT. Services and burial will be private at a later date at the family cemetery in Corinth, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
