Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I first met Speed 25 years ago while he worked as the crossing guard at Huntington where I teach. A lovely man with a gentle demeanor and quick wit. During Lent he sat behind me at 7 o’clock mass and always helped start my day with a smile and a laugh. He is missed, but I still smile when I think of him.
