Marion E. Labrie Cox

She is survived by a son Arthur and his wife Andrea of Griswold, a daughter Diane Wisniewski and her husband Joseph of Easton, PA., a sister Arlene Cirrito of Norwich, grandchildren Jennifer Gettle, Kimberly Hawk and Abbe Cox, great grandchildren Autumn Hawk, Ryan Hawk, Amanda Gettle, Joseph Gettle and Gabriela Cox as well as many nieces and nephews and loyal friends. . She is predeceased by brothers Arthur, Donald and Alfred Labrie.

Marion was a wonderful person, an exceptional homemaker, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Her love and compassion knew no bounds, once caring for a nephew stricken with brain cancer. Family and friends were privileged to enjoy her skills in the kitchen where she made delicious food for dinners and picnics. Marion was also an avid Yankee fan, but perhaps most remembered will be her easy going nature and sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral home service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
