He was born in Montville, CT on June 18, 1956 to the late Martin J. and Eva V. (Sullivan) Meyers Sr. After completing high school, Martin worked in the hotel market eventually becoming a hotel manager before his retirement. On April 11, 1989 he married his beloved wife, Trudy (Lindsay) Meyers in Norwich, CT. She survives him.
Marty was known for his great sense of humor, his love for animals – particularly his cats, and was an avid reader.
Besides his wife, survivors include his step-son Kirk R. Frew, brother; Mark Meyers and countless friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 10am till noon at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. There will be no formal services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
