Mary spent part of her childhood in Madeira, Portugal and then returned to the States, where she spent a good part of her life in New Haven and then, Norwich CT.
In 1987, Mary and her husband Tony, moved to the Villages of Lady Lake Florida where they enjoyed 23 years of retirement, before returning home to Norwich in 2010.
Mary A. Jardin was a devote Catholic and active member of the church where she enjoyed much of her time. Mary leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Tony R. Jardin, daughter Rosemary J. Sawicki and son in law Joseph Sawicki along with many nieces , nephews and friends, of whom she will be fondly remembered. Three brothers, Manuel Ferreira, John Ferreira and Oscar Ferrara predecease her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 181 Elizabeth ST. Norwich CT 06360, on Wednesday, Sept 10, 2014 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Norwich.
