PRESTON – Mary J. (Zenuk) Pilecki, 91, formerly of Preston, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2018 with her children by her side at Brookdale Assisted Living in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Mary was born in Norwich, CT on July 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Alek and Julia Zenuk. She united in marriage on July 2, 1950 to Boleslaw “Ben” Pilecki, who predeceased her in 2005.
Mary was employed at Mohawk Drapery and The Thermos Company in Norwich until her retirement. During her retirement she enjoyed time spent camping in Florida with husband Ben. She was a member of the Divine Providence Polish National Church where she found joy in cooking many Polish favorites for numerous church events. She enjoyed bowling in her church league, playing bingo, and quilting many blankets. Most of all she loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter Karen A. Clark with husband C.J. of Gallatin, TN; her son Michael R. Pilecki with wife Kathy of Watertown, CT.; grandsons Christopher Clark with wife Brandi of Mooresville, NC and Corey Clark with wife Karey of South Elgin, IL; granddaughters Julie (Pilecki) Masci with husband John of Madison, CT and Michelle (Pilecki) Durante with husband Joseph of Terryville, CT; great-grandchildren Jared, Conner, Peyton and Abby; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Irene (Zenuk) Rondeau, her half-sister, Jennie (Pietrowski) Willhoit, and half-brother, Vosic Pietrowski.
Calling hours will be held from 9am to 11am on October 6, 2018 at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT with interment immediately following at the Divine Providence Cemetery, 751 W. Thames St (RT32) Norwich, CT. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living in Gallatin, TN and Avalon Hospice in Hendersonville, TN.

So many precious memories of Mary. I appreciated her candor and friendship. Her absence from Brookdale is palpable.
