Norwich-Mary Irene Samokar, age 93, of Norwich passed away on April 22, 2015 at Orchard Grove Nursing Home in Uncasville. She was born on July 3, 1921 to the late Joseph and Stella (Listfon) Romanowski. She married her loving husband John E. Samokar Sr. on November 24, 1945. He predeceased her in 2009.
Mary enjoyed singing in the choir at Divine Providence Church.
Mary is survived by a son John E. Samokar Jr of Norwich, daugthers Stephanie Pelletier of Norwich, Judith Samokar of Ledyard, Karen Samokar of Norwich, a grandson Keith Pelletier of Texas and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Charles and Alfred Romanowski.
