Maryanne Chinigo

She was born in Norwich, CT on July 30, 1928 to the late Leon and Georgianna (Houle) Miclette. On Oct. 16, 1948 she was married to Frank Chinigo Sr. at Sacred Heart Church, Norwichtown. He predeceased her in 2012. Maryanne was a homemaker for many years and then became a home health aide at United Community Services prior to retirement. She also volunteered at the Norwichtown Convalescent Home for 30 years and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown.

Maryanne is survived by her children; Frank J and Kelley Chinigo Jr of Charlotte, NC, Rosemarie and James Soper of Plainfield, CT, and Patricia Chinigo of Norwich, one sister; Pauline Bonkowski of Griswold, 3 grandchildren; James R. Soper of Sharon, MA, Joseph Soper of Moosup, CT and Catherine Sheridan of Colchester, CT, 3 great-grandchildren; Jack Soper, Logan Sheridan, Alyson Soper and Landon Sheridan as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Maryanne was also predeceased by her daughter Mary T. Chinigo, brothers; Ernest and Henry Miclette, sisters; Aurore Adams, Lucille Guilbeault, Irene Beaulieu, Bertha Roberts and Estelle Lachance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown at 11am with burial to immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT that same morning from 9am to 10:30am.
