Merton W Lewis

Merton was born June 27,1930 in Norwich, the son of the late Walter and Anna Izbicki Lewis.

He had worked as an autobody technician and as a Stationary Engineer at the Norwich State Hospital.

He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Fulton and Tarawa. He was a member of the Preston VFW, the USS John F. Kennedy Aircraft carrier project, and was a model airplane and car enthusiast.

He is survived by his companion and caretaker Arlene Lewis, brother Leon Lewis and wife Jean of Andover Maine, by his sisters Patricia Lewis of Norwich and Barbara McShane and husband Stephen of Norwich, by many nieces and nephews, many grandnieces and grandnephews and by George and Patt Britt and their 3 sons.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Thomas and William Lewis, sisters Shirley Mock and Evelyn Lewis.

Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
