Mike in his younger days was an EMT and volunteer fire fighter for the Yantic fire company, had a fascination with magic, a love of music, playing the guitar and singing, his favorite musical group being Styx. Growing up his idol was Bruce Lee and he earned himself a black belt in Karate. Over the years Mike found his greatest passion, Skydiving, jumping out of planes as often as he could. His cat “Snivels” was named after a Skydiving term. Mike recently found comfort in reading and watching Joel Osteen. Mike will be sadly missed. He taught me karate and turned my life around. Many fun times at the Norwich Mall. He taught me not to be afraid to express my feelings, and how to control my anger.I met his mom years ago and hope she's doing OK.There are people who will miss you and not even know your gone. There's not much more I can say.You were a great friend and an inspiration.

I've only worked with Mike several months but they were good months. He brought a change to Oakdale school that is certainly missed.I was with him the night he passed and we joked and laughed all night. He spoke highly of his mother son and cat. We had a common bond of music especially Styx. Fly Like an Eagle Mike and know I cared Ron Ferreira

I just can't believe your gone. I will miss the phone calls now and then just to catch up on how every one is doing. We had such great times together. The camping out at the airport, all the concerts we went to especially Styx. The front row seats your Mom stood in line for and the pick Tommy Shaw gave her. Awesome!! You will be missed by so many.
