He was the son of Arthur Moran Sr, and the late Joan Moran.
Michael was a gentle man, with a great sense of humor. He was an avid racecar and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 4 precious grandchildren. He was happiest hosting gatherings, reminiscing stories in his home with family and friends. He dedicated 40+ years to the Poquetanuck Fire Department in Preston, helping others on the ambulance crew and serving as President.
He recently enjoyed a cruise, and a trip to Las Vegas with his adoring wife, Joyce, who he was married to for 37 years. We are thankful that these precious memories were made.
He was adored by his daughter, Heather Johnson and her husband Cody, as well as his grandchildren, Elliott, Lincoln, Saylor, and Theodore. He was the best Grampy anyone could wish for.
He is also survived by his brother Arthur Moran Jr., and his wife Debra of Preston; his brother Gregory Moran Sr., along with a large family of nephews, nieces, cousins, brother in law, and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 7th from 10am-12pm at Church and Allen Funeral home on Sachem Street in Norwich. He will then be laid to rest next to his mother, Joan, who predeceased him immediately following at Poquetanuck cemetery.
There will be a luncheon afterward at the Poquetanuck Fire Department.
