He was born on May 26, 1942 in New London to the late Nathaniel Sr. and Eleanor (Watson) Lewis.
Nathaniel worked as a truck driver for many years.
Nathaniel is survived by his children, Rose Wiltsie, Laurie Benware, Gerald Ward, James Ward, and Janice Pratt. He is also survived by two son-in-laws Gerald Benware and Patrick Wilstie, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and his caretaker Kelly Alves.
In addition to his parents, Nathaniel is predeceased by his wife Florence, children Donna Kettle, Lisa Ward, and Jeffrey Ward.
A calling hour for Nathaniel will be held Friday, November 8th from 11am - 12pm at the Church & Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem St. Norwich, CT. Burial will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery 184 Salem Trpk. Norwich, CT.
