Nicole Rose Thomas Shlevin

Nicole Rose Thomas Shlevin passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 6, 2021 at the William W. Backus Hospital.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was born in Weedon, Canada on August 11, 1942. Nicole moved to the United States at the age of twelve with her parents, brother and sisters and took an active role in helping raise them. She was a prayerful woman who was very active with the church and dedicated to her faith. She will forever be remembered for her generosity, kind nature and beautiful voice. Her spirit touched the lives of many and we are all better for having known her.
She is predeceased by her parents, Rene & Mercedes (Tardiff) Denis, her former husbands, Richard Minski, Austin Thomas Jr. and Clarence J. Shlevin as well as two grandchildren, Danielle Rene and Robert Philip Norton. Nicole crossed over ahead of her four children, Corinne Minski of West Hartford, Dianne Evans and her husband, Mike of Apopka, FL, Christopher Thomas and his wife, Susan of Ballston Spa, NY and her youngest daughter, Debra Thomas Sajkowicz and her husband, Gregg of Groton. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Terry Peckham, Briana Norton, Courtney Botelho, Ashley Evans, Riley Thomas, Camdyn Botelho, Madysen Thomas, Nicole Botelho, Cole Thomas and Tyler and Lucy Sajkowicz and great grandchild Alex Beltran. She also leaves behind her brother, Jean Denis and his wife Deanna of Jewett City, her sister Danielle Kaminski and her husband, Stanley Taylor of Uncasville and sister Carolle Kozlowski of Miami, FL as well as many nieces and nephews.

I will miss my beloved neighbor. She had a great faith in her lord and is now resting in peace and without pain. Her kind and gentle spirit is now in the loving arms of God.
She will always be with you. Wishing all of you the comfort of blessed memories and support each other lovingly. She would want that for you.

Sending my condolences to the whole family. Nichole was so very dear to me. I have had the pleasure of knowing her and spending time with her for over thirty years. Lovely lady inside and out. Loved her quit wit and beautiful soul. I will miss her, but my heart is happy knowing she is with our Lord that she loved so very much.
