Obeline M Wood

She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Wood, Cheryl Abell, Terry Marsden, James Wood, John Wood, Mary Dickson, Kenny Marsden, Bonnie Visiko, Jeffrey (Hawk) Marsden and Erin Wood. Obe was a very proud grandmother to Krystal, Brittany, David, Tasha, Richard, Scott, Rebecca, Kimberly, Karen, Stephanie, William, Heather, Michael, Robert, Adriane and Danielle. Obe also leaves behind seven great grandchildren; Arianna, Alannah, Samuel, Amelia, Julie, Randy and Adelynn. Obe was preceded in death by her husband Jack, daughter Michelle and grandsons Joshua and Thomas. Obe spent the last 8 years of her life with her loving companion, Phil Belair.

Obe worked for over 20 years with the State of Connecticut as a Court Recording Monitor where she made many friends and brightened the days of everyone she encountered. Her caring and compassionate nature touched the lives of countless people. Her humor, quick wit and ability to make others feel loved will be remembered by them all.

Calling hours will be held at the Church and Allen Funeral Home at 136 Sachem Street in Norwich. CT on 9/28/15 between the hours of 5-8pm. Obe's life will be celebrated at her Retirement Party, which will be held on 9/29/15 at 5:30pm at the VFW, 30 Connecticut Avenue in Norwich.
