Pauline was fun loving, hard working and endearing to all and always tried to provide a positive word or compliment to everyone she met.
Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Steve (Stephen) Jacobik Sr. Together they raised a brood of kids they each brought into their marriage (Brady Bunch style). Mom had Donna (Delmore) Champlain, Sherrie Delmore and Lori (White) Moroso. Dad had Stephen Jacobik Jr., Sheryl LaPorte, Gary Jacobik and Keith Jacobik. Mom for a short time also raised Kevin White of Canterbury. She also leaves behind her son-in-law, Rick Moroso.
Pauline was a beloved “Babci” to her grandchildren; Jenny, Bobby, Austin, Jake, Jon, Amanda, Alex, Mathew, Penelope, Olivia and Violet and her great-grandchildren; Alexis, Brady, Cameron, Ashley, Andrew, Ryan and Haley. She is also survived by her brother; Roland Boileau of Palm Coast Florida and her sister; Ethel (Boileau) Woolley also of Florida. She is predeceased by her sister; Elaine (Boileau) Curtain and her twin sister; Paula (Boileau) Turney. Pauline and Paula were a dynamic duo! Pauline was also a loving “auntie” to many nieces and nephews and also had lots and lots of cousins!
Pauline was born in Norwich and was the daughter of Viola (Blanchette) Olsen and Roland J. Boileau. She grew up in Taftville and lived in Norwich for most of her life. She and Steve settled down living in Lisbon for many years now.
Mom was always a hard worker and had to many different jobs but her favorite was working at Foxwoods Casino where she managed the employee cafeteria. She was definitely a “people person” and her job gave her the opportunity to meet so many. She also enjoyed working there to stay hear Steve, as he worked in the Foxwoods Engineering.
Pauline always had an artistic project going and loved painting, wood carving, ceramics, crocheting, and wreath making just to name a few. She and dad also loved to go hunting in Maine. In 1976 she bagged one of the top “10 Biggest Bucks”. She and dad loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, swimming, sledding, gardening and of course, horse shoes!
She will be missed by many and her love will continue to flow through her family and all who knew her.
