

Lisbon-Peter M. Goland-Robinson, age 80, of Lisbon, passed away on October 19, 2011 at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. He was born May 13, 1931 in Yorkshire, England to the late George and Margaret (Robinson) Goland-Robinson. He married his wife Mary (Goodenough) Goland-Robinson on June 3, 1961 in Staverton, England.
Peter attended Woodhouse Grove Boarding School for Boys and Graduated from Walford Agricultural College in Shropshire, England. He worked as an agricultural representative for Old Fox Chemical in Providence, Rhode Island, DeCran AG Supplies in Massachusetts and FieldWorks in Connecticut as an agricultural representative and crops specialist for 45 years. He was a member of the Alliance Church in Norwich where he was a Deacon and former Elder. He enjoyed painting in oil and water color, sketching in charcoal and pastels, fly fishing, and gardening.
Besides his loving wife Mary, he is survived by a son Mark A. Robinson and his wife Kari of Lisbon, a son David J. Robinson and his wife Tammy of Cheshire, a son Jeffrey M. Robinson and his wife Heather of Raleigh, NC, and a brother Gurth Goland-Robinson and his wife Sheila of Yorkshire, England. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jaime Robinson, Nikki Robinson and Mason Robinson, along with several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Norwich Alliance Church, 35 Wawecus Hill Road, Norwich on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
