Ray,
Your faithfulness in following God anywhere was evident. Your compassion on the lost and broken glorified Jesus. Your love for your wife and family was beautiful. I will never forget how you prayed and interceded for me when I was on my first missions trip to Guatemala and came across trouble. Your love for the Lord shined that day as your connection to Him and His purposes meshed. It touched me greatly that the Lord would bring this trouble to you and that you became a spiritual father for me just as Maggie is a spiritual mother. Your legacy of love for Jesus in our communities and across the world where you served cannot be challenged as all who knew you saw your kindness, meekness and love for the Word and Spirit of God. Maggie, I love you dearly and am praying for you fervently and passionately as you endure this difficult season. I also could never forget all you have been to me all these years. Your light shines brightly at EB and all who know you have experienced the presence of God by your grace. I am here if you need ANYTHING.
Kinsey

Biography

My Biography, My Legacy:
Ramon Luis Cordero was born on August 31, 1949, in the city of Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Son Of Francisco Cordero Pacheco and Rita Rivera Cordero of Santa Isabel. Ramon Luis came from a family of ten. He completed to 2 years of college and also 4 years in Hartford Bible Institute, which he graduated with honors.

Before becoming a devoted Christian, Ramon Luis was a professional singer, he entertained thru TV Shows and singing to the world in different areas in the Island. He was a Musician, Singer, Composer, an Artist, Teacher, Preacher, a Missionary and then he became a Pastor. Because he was a singer and a composer he dedicated the rest of his life, writing songs and singing to the Lord. He would sing in a way that touched many life's, he was so spiritual, his beautiful voice, accompanying the melodies touched by the Holy Spirit people would cry to the Lord.

In September 2, 1989 he married the Love of his Life, Margarita Fragoso. Ray had 3 children, Janexie Cordero, Carlos Perez Jr. and Alexander Cordero.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father a great grandfather. He worked for Electric Boat for 40 Years. He piloted small aircraft and his dreams were that someday he would go and preach the gospel in Central and South America.

Ray helped change the world by giving HOPE to many thru Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. His messages were always about the SON of GOD and his love for humanity. Many came to Christ by him giving meaning to the cross and what it stood for. His messages where powerful, but at the same time they were simple, full of humility. He taught how to live by faith, and how to walk in the spirit. He spoke of Hope, and forgiveness.

His ministry reached many with humbleness, he was soft, gentle dedicated, but always steadfast in what he believed. He preached the message which the core was the work of the cross. He would say my life has been full of surprises some experiences of pain, others with happiness. Even in the painful moments, the Lord has put joy in my heart to share with many.

He touched many lives thru his ministry, by TV programs, Prison, and Hospitals ministries. He was a praying man, an intercessor for others. He would travel to central and South American to preach the Truth that sets people free. In our own church he would give the most powerful message of Christ and his resurrection. Causing many people to be free from bondage and dedicating their entire life’s by serving the LORD.

He aimed for God to approve his way. He reached large audiences as well as small congregations. He always mentioned how Gods LOVE was unconditional for every individual and everlasting. He would say, thank you Lord for the blood of Christ, you have done all this thru grace for the benefit of mankind.

He was not famous, but he is remembered as a Loving pastor devoted, caring for his flock. He might not receive much praises while being alive, but never had he expected recognition. To him the biggest reward was to see how God would changed a life.

Ray will never be forgotten, because he touched so many lives thru his message of Christ or by his life style, of a Christian man walking with God. He set those examples so many who knew him can model after him and carried on with the word of Faith in Christ our Lord.

In many of his messages he would say, “He who does not have the Son does not have the father, so let this stir your heart - today is the day which salvation has touched the windows of your heart and your mind, so let your decision be wise, as mine was many years ago".

He would always say to the congregation. I feel so small, for the responsibility which GOD has instill in me. Is a great privilege because to lead people for that which Christ has loved and paid a price for, has to be done, with honor, wisdom, understanding and above all, LOVE.

He would say His best sermon and most rewarding were when he preached on the street. He would say God does not like sin but he LOVES the sinner”. Making people realize how important they were to GOD. To him GRACE was the fountain, the PEACE of GOD Flows down from that fountain.

His favorite phrase was “without faith is impossible to please GOD” and lived by that rule, until the end of his days. He always gave GOD the Glory and Honor in all of his doing. He would emphasize how everything was made by GOD and for his glory.

I never met someone with such dedication, so selfless full of love and passion for everything God stands for. He gave this love with a contagious smile to all of those which came across his path.

Today we say thank you for your hard work in the Lord and fruit of the spirit which you instill in us to live and walk by the faith you taught. I couldn’t ask for a better husband, provider and father for my children. I ask God to give me a good husband and GOD gave me his BEST! He gave me Ramon Luis Cordero.

I shall not say Good Bye to my beloved it, but instead see you later! Now is time for you to rest!
