He was the son of Fannie Lydia(Pettinari) and Richard Toivo Myllymaki.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, son Ricky, and brother Ken, daughter in law Jen, and grandson Phoenix. He also leaves his nieces and cousins.
Richard served in the U.S. Army in combat during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor. He retired from Pratt and Whitney as a manufacturing engineer.
A Celebration of Life will be held.
