He was born in New London, CT on July 31, 1945 to Lawrence and Shirley (Tefft) Tyler. He served in the US Army and worked throughout his life at E.B. in Groton. On October 28, 1978 he married his beloved wife Jacquie in Montville, CT.
Rich is survived by his mother Shirley, his wife Jacquie, his sister Sharon and her husband Robert Parrett, daughter; Tanya Hunter, sons; Larry Dennis and Richard Dennis, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Lawrence and a niece; Shannon Parrett.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4pm-6pm at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT. There is no funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
