Roland J Cote Jr.

Roland J. Cote Jr., 64, of Norwich, CT succumbed to cancer in comfort surrounded by his family on July 18, 2019.

Roland was predeceased by his parents, Roland J. Cote Sr. and Phyllis A. Cote, and his son Robert J. Cote. He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Cote, soon to be son-in-law, Daniel Morgan Jr., and four grandchildren: Alyssa Cote, Justin Cote, Abigail Morgan, and Katie Morgan. He also leaves behind his ex-wife, Elaine Cote and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Roland was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to everyone.

Roland was a huge sports fan and especially loved baseball, basketball, and football where his favorite teams were the New York Yankees, UConn Huskies, and Green Bay Packers. He worked as a machinist for over 30 years and spent his free time watching various sports games live on TV, reading any book he could, and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be private for the family. There will be a celebration of life service held on a later date.

Labenski’s Funeral Home will be assisting with the arrangements.

Roland was our brother we never had growing up he lived up stairs we grew up together learning different things. We did a lot together as kids and had a lot of fun. Roland was a gentle quiet man. He was an usher at our wedding. We had many happy times with him and Elaine in our younger years. Our thoughts are with his family as they have had to deal with so much pain in recent years. Go rest high on That Mountain. Love, Tom and Terry❤️
