N. FRANKLIN – Rose Ann (Renaldi) Moriarty, 75, beloved wife of John Moriarty, died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday June 8th at Backus Hospital.

She was born in Norwich, CT on Aug. 27, 1942 to the late Michael and Ella (Tedesco) Renaldi. She graduated from N.F.A. in 1960 and on May 25, 1963, married John Moriarty at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich.

Rose Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and parishioner of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Baltic. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Diocese of Norwich and after retiring, she went on to care for her growing family, particularly her grandchildren whom she adored. Rose Ann loved her family the most and cherished time spent with them.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters Kerry Moriarty and her companion Christopher Haggerty of Norwich, Beth and David Wigfield of Sprague; her sister Jean Lucy and her husband Russell of Franklin; her grandchildren Nicholas and Catie Wigfield; her Godchild and niece Jennifer Lucy of Franklin; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the wonderful and compassionate staff of Backus Hospital A2 and CCU.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 13th from 9:30am – 10:30am at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Av., Norwich, CT with procession to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 70 W. Main St., Baltic, CT at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Norwich.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose Ann’s memory may be made to St. Joseph School, 10 School Hill Road, Baltic, CT 06330.
