Rose Friedman

She was born February 21, 1914 in New York, the daughter of the late Isadore and Anna (Zigmond) Fishbone.

She had worked for Peggy Lane in Norwich and then for Gordon Shoe in Norwich.

She was married to the late Eli Jennes and Charles Friedman, who both predeceased her.

She loved to read and knit and especially loved to watch cooking shows as well as soap operas.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews whom she considered her children; Neil, Marc, Eric, Cheryl, Anita, Amy, Stuart, Judy, Gale, and Beryl. She was also survived by her sister in law Adele Fishbone.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her brothers Barnette, Abraham and William Fishbone.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the IOBA Cemetery, Lois St. in Norwich on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rose’s memory may be made to Vitas Hospice, 628 Hebron Ave, Building 2, Suite 300, Glastonbury CT 06033 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill CT 06067.
