She was born in Montville on September 15, 1917 and is predeceased by her husband, Clarence McNeil. She is survived by her son Leonard McNeil.
Rose was an avid dog lover and thoroughly enjoyed her time with “Mitzy” her adorable Pug. She raised and showed Boston Terriers with her friend Alice. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at the Montville Senior Center and participated in Shirley’s line dancing class, yoga and exercise. She also enjoyed eating out at Friendly Pizza, Groton Town House, and Infinity Palace as well as having her hair done at Sheer Timing by Debbie.
A calling hour will be held on Friday from 2pm -2:45pm when a Funeral Service will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT. A reception will immediately follow at the Montville Polish Club. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Montville Senior Center.
