Salvatore Brancato

He was born on September 6, 1921 in New York to the late John and Mary (Caronia) Brancato. He completed high school and served his country during WWII in the Army. Obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from the University of Illinois, he would work for several defense companies including General Dynamics before retiring.

Salvatore married his beloved Mary Moriarty on May 28, 1955 in Virginia . He enjoyed fishing, golf, and watching his family and his gardens grow as a result of his care.

He is survived by his wife Mary, his sons; James P Brancato and his wife Stacey Prohaska, John R Brancato and his wife Lou Ann, daughters; Elizabeth Moss and her husband James, and Paula Brancato, sister; Joan Browne, five grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister; Theresa Brancato.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 24th at 2pm at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich , CT. There are no calling hours.
